Weebly was founded in 2006 by David Rusenko, Chris Fanini, and Dan Veltri, while they were students at Penn State University. It launched publicly in 2007 as a user-friendly website builder focused on drag-and-drop design. As of 2025, Weebly has been in operation for 18 years.
